Hyundai returns to consumer auto shows with national debuts for Elantra N, Kona N, and IONIQ 5 at the upcoming Drive Festival

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announces its participation in the first ever Drive Festival, taking place September 10-12, 2021 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.
- Hyundai’s upcoming, fully-electric IONIQ 5 CUV to make its first public appearance in Canada
- High performance Elantra N and Kona N mark their first national debut at the Drive Festival
- Visitors will be able to test drive the all-new Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle along with 2022 models
MARKHAM, ONT. (Sept 8, 2021) – Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announces its participation in the first ever Drive Festival, taking place September 10-12, 2021 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. Auto enthusiasts in Canada, will have the opportunity to access and test drive Hyundai’s latest market releases on three different tracks.
Hyundai’s all-new Elantra N, Kona N will and much anticipated IONIQ 5 will make their first public appearance at the event as static displays. Visitors will be able to test-drive Hyundai’s performance models through the following vehicles: Veloster N with manual-transmission; Elantra N Line; Sonata N Line and Kona N Line on a performance-specific test track.
On a special test drive route, visitors will be able to experience the rugged off-road capabilities of Hyundai’s utility vehicles including: the all-new Tucson, Palisade, Santa Fe, and the latest addition to the Hyundai lineup – the Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle.
Hyundai’s electrified portfolio will all also be accessible for testing and will include the facelifted Kona Electric, Tucson HEV and Sonata HEV.
“After nearly two years of being absent from consumer auto shows, we are very much looking forward to connecting with the general public and getting live feedback on our 2022 Hyundai lineup,” says Christine Smith, director of marketing at Hyundai Canada. “Hyundai’s product portfolio has evolved rapidly since 2020, namely with the influx of electrified vehicles and the expansion of the N Line and N models. Drive Fest is a fantastic way for customers to directly experience the Hyundai brand across its entire spectrum, while seeing up-close, models which have yet to reach showrooms.”
To experience first-hand Hyundai’s newest models and learn more about them through on-site product experts, visitors are encouraged to book test-drives in advance via the Drive Festival’s website. The three kilometre country drive will allow drivers to get acquainted with their vehicle of choice in safe and controlled closed roadway that is suitable for anyone with a valid driver’s license.
